On May 22, 2010 we celebrated Brians 53rd Birthday. Aunt Joyce made the cake (chocolate or course). Before dinner Samantha, Taylor and Jaden played with some pots and pans and made dinner. When we got the cake out with icecream, I put Taylor and Samantha in the corner of the kitchen to eat their cake and ice cream. They were loving it as you can see. Samantha loves to put these dress up shoes on when she comes over to visit. Her and Taylor were very excited to play with each other and Jaden got in on the fun along with Maci. We love having the grandkids all over and watch them play with each other. We also love having their parents over and watch them play together also. After the party and everyone went home, Brian looked out the front door and saw the sun setting on the mountains. We are so fortunate to live out here in the country with all the beautiful views each day.

about a month ago, Samantha stayed the weekend at our house while her daddy was working in California. We got her all dressed up for church. Tights, shiney shoes with bows, pretty dress and a matching sweater. She was adorable! She did so well in Sacrament meeting and even sang when we sang. Brian helped out in nursery with her and took her for a walk in the halls while we had lesson, because she didn't want to sit for that long. He said she walked in the halls with her arms folded and being reverent. It was so cute when they came back into the nursery. She still had her arms folded. She is such a light in my Thursdays. I enjoy spending time with all the grandkids, but we see her the most and Thursday is our day to spend together. It is a bonus when grandpa is off work for a thursday and she gets to see both of us.

Grandpa looks so proud of his new grandson! He looks so small in his arms. We love being grandparents. The blessings are beyond measure! Heavenly Fathers loves us so much to have blessed us with such wonderful grandkids and their parents aren't half bad either! :)

Dakoda James Johnstone was born this morning at 11:33 am. 7 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long. We got to see him about 1 1/2 hours later. He had been nursing almost the whole time before we saw him. His big sister, Taylor, got to hold him pretty soon after he was born. What a sweet gift from heaven.

We are so fortunate to live where we do. The other day I mentioned to someone that I know we shouldn't be prideful of our view, and they said to just use the work appreciative. I like that. So We are appreciative of our view from our from porch. Each day is a different view. I am so appreciative to have this each day to look at. When the seasons change, it is so spectacular. I get chills and it is a reminder of how much Heavenly Father loves me and Brian.

Here is a picture of the 6 grandkids. This picture was taken 1 year ago. They are left to right: Maci Sharp, Daxton Sharp, Samantha Fowble, Olivia Sharp, Jaden Neider, and Taylor Johnstone. And of course, Grandpa and Memaa. We love being grandparents. We didn't have children together so this is really fun for me. I missed out on all these years with Brians kids, so they are so kind and generous to let me experience it with their children as they experience it also. I love them for this.
